Lodie - my stukkie van Afrika

Ook Mohamed van Wadi Halfa moes my boek teken. Al die ander mense het weggetrek: My Pepsi ou, die kos ou, die teedame, en die hotelbestuurder. Dis jammer.
Also Mohamed of Wadi Halfa had to sign my book. All the other that I knew, moved away. That was sad.

So kry ek Mazar laatmiddag op my bakkie.
I found Mazar in this position on my Toyota one late afternoon.

Eindresultaat. Dankie Mazar!
End result. Thanks Mazar!

Die realiteit van 'n woestynontbyt.
The reality of a desert breakfast.

Alle spore lei Wadi Halfa toe.
You'll find Wadi Halfa at the end of most of the tracks.

'n Paar foto's van die laatmiddagwoestyn by Wadi Halfa.
A few images of the desert late afternoon at Wadi Halfa.

Daar was 'n gat in 'n rots.
There was a big hole in the rocks of a close-by mountain.

As 'n woestyn nie so warm was nie sou dit 'n wonderlike plek gewees het. Maar ek skat dis juis hoekom dit 'n woestyn genoem word. :-)
If it wasn't for the heat what a wonderful pace a desert could have been. But I guess that is why it is called a desert. :-)
